FanDuel Ink Kentucky Downs Sponsorship
September 01, 2021
The thrill of Kentucky Downs horse racing has just become even more exciting following a significant partnership inked between Kentucky Downs and iGaming and online betting operator giant, FanDuel.
Following the inking of the latest big sponsorship deal, the popular online betting and gaming platform will for three years sponsor Kentucky Downs annual 6 days of premium horse racing action between September 5 and 12. The event will for the period in question be known as the “FanDuel Meet at Kentucky Downs”.
Premium Comes To FanDuel
According to VP of Racing for FanDuel Group Andrew Moore, it’s a thrill to be in the fortunate position of adding the unique and premium annual meet to the betting giant’s portfolio of horse racing sponsorship deals. Moore described Kentucky Downs to be a very special track that holds a warm place in the hearts of many a horse racing and sporting fan.
Kentucky Downs is also a track with incredible purses in terms of the prize money awarded. This is according to Moore proof again of the commitment of Marc Falone and Ron Winchell for staging only the highest quality turf racing.
While the annual events will be broadcast by the TVG Network, to which FanDuel is the parent company, Moore said the entire team is looking forward to bringing the finest turf racing action the world has to offer to Americans watching the action from home.
Exciting Times Ahead
The partnership will also make of the betting giant the title sponsor of the famous $1 million FanDuel Turf Sprint, which is a Grade 3 stakes that takes place each year on September 11. The event is one of only two Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series races at Kentucky Downs.
What’s more, all Kentucky Downs events will for the next three years be aired exclusively only on TVG for cable as well as network television – with the only addition being that of NBC broadcasting live the two Breeders’ Cup Challenge meets.
According to Ron Winchell, the partnership is a marriage made in betting heaven. Commenting on the latest deal, the co-owner hailed TVG to be the leader in televised horse racing in America – with Kentucky Downs at the very forefront of the best betting product currently being offered across the industry.
The FanDuel brand recognises the value of Kentucky Downs, added co-owner Marc Falone. It’s a proud moment for Kentucky Downs to be added to their award-winning sponsorship portfolio, explained Falone
