LatAm Focus For New Football Betting Site

Trading director at sportsbook Pronet Gaming, Tommy Molloy, recently gave an interview. The company announced that it would be focusing on the Latin American market, and the director gave some insight into how the organization has been approaching the region as a new football betting site.

Molloy first explained what most already know; that Latin America is almost entirely focused on football. He pointed out that, as with the European market, the Latin American sports betting market is made up of 75% football related bets. He went on to say that the company’s front end has been designed, from the ground up, to match this information. He elaborated that the entire new online bookies platform has been constructed with football at its center, ensuring that the right product is being presented to the new market.

Similarities And Differences

Molloy then went on to explain that although the European and Latin American markets are similar in many ways, they also differ significantly in other ways. He explained that tennis and basketball also play a major role as far as Europeans are concerned, but pointed out that the same cannot be said for Latin America.

He added that European betting preferences are also significantly different, given that the region has a far more matured market. He continued by saying that in Europe a number of different betting options are explored, given how familiar locals are with the prospect of betting as a whole. But, Molloy stressed, in Latin America the large majority of bets are all based around the straightforward 1x2 option. He pointed out that as the new football betting site matures in the area, it is likely that locals will start to branch out into other areas of the activity.

Molloy also talked about the importance of leagues, saying that the impact each league has in its respective country cannot be understated. He pointed out that in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, or anywhere else on the continent, the local teams inspire incredible passion in fans. He added that although La Liga, Premier League and Champions League also get some attention, the major focus is always on localized leagues in each region.
