Two More Big Gambling Deals For Soccer Clubs

Even despite the presence of a threat of an English Premier League Sponsorship ban currently precariously hanging over the U.K. soccer market, major EPL clubs are continuing to enter into sponsorship deals alongside gambling and sports betting operators at a dizzying pace.

Juventus and Arsenal FC are reportedly the latest clubs to have joined an already long list of European soccer franchises recently come off freshly inked sports betting sponsorship deals in preparation for the now-underway 2020-21 soccer season.

Juventus Hooks Up With Parimatch

Italian soccer club Juventus’ gambling sponsorship partnership has been confirmed as having been signed opposite tech and sports betting supplier and operator Parimatch – with the latter as a result of the inked agreement expected to benefit from brand advertising erected within Serie A champion club’s Allianz Stadium.

In addition to the in-stadium advertising and promotional campaign, the club will reportedly create an entire portfolio of original content in partnership with Parimatch. Juventus has in the meantime confirmed that more and in-depth details regarding the provisions and scope of the sponsorship deal alongside the Ukrainian bookmaker will be provided during an upcoming October online press videoconference.

Parimatch CEO Sergey Portnov has in the meantime expressed his satisfaction with the partnership deal freshly inked alongside the famous club, whilst referring to the new deal as the result of both Parimatch as well as Juventus FC’s respective ambitions to be recognised the ultimate champions in their “respective games”. Providing to fans of the FC only the best in sports entertainment, said Portnov, is the first and ongoing order of the new partnership’s business.

Arsenal Bags Deal

English Premier League club Arsenal FC’s recently signed sponsorship contract deal is opposite prominent Estonia-based cryptocurrency sports betting operator The FC recently confirmed the successful signing of the sponsorship deal alongside on its official Twitter page.

According to details revealed to date by Arsenal Football Club, will create digital content for the Arsenal fan base not only for the club’s men’s team, but also for Arsenal’s women’s team.

Many More Deals Just Like It

The deals involving Arsenal FC and Juventus, as mentioned earlier on, are but the most recent in a long line of similar sponsorship deals inked between clubs and gambling sponsors.

English Premier League club Leeds United recently signed a high-profile front-of-shirt deal with SBTTOP, which is a sports betting firm located in the Isle of Man. Not only is the deal considered high-profile because of the club, but it is also considered as such because of it being the largest commercial deal signed in the entire history of the famous club.

More recent deals of this nature include one signed between Fulham and BetVictor, and a training kit partner deal inked between Parimatch and Leicester City.

EPL Responds To Criticism

The EPL has in the meantime in recent months become the target of immense criticism from several sources – government as well as elsewhere – it its heavy dependence, and in many cases even outright reliance – on gambling and sports betting operator sponsorships.

The UK government will in fact within the coming months re-assess the levels of permittable gambling sponsorships in soccer. These will be reviewed as part of a review of the country’s Gambling Act 2005.

The English Premier League has in the meantime responded to the gambling partnerships criticism by defending its good right to enter into said partnerships with whomever it will.
